1. The incumbent will be required to work extensively with the analysts and associates in Guangzhou and global investment banking professionals on preparing presentation materials and participating in pitches and deals – this will involve conducting industry and product research; benchmarking, profiling companies, case studies, preparing financing models and valuation analysis (relative and absolute valuation methods, Merger models, etc.)
2. Focus on supporting origination of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) assignments, divestitures, financial restructurings and associated financing solutions
3. Support the team members by performing financial analysis and research as per the requirements
4. Acquire in-depth understanding of client needs and the market, industry and business environment. This understanding enables the firm to design customized solutions for clients - whether it is strategic initiatives like M&A, financing or risk management solutions
5. The incumbent will work on a very wide variety of projects on the above asks with colleagues from across the world
6. Internship period: 6 months, able to be in the office for at least 3 workdays a week

Project Management1. Work with multiple stakeholders on projects2. Drive innovation for self and the team to deliver incremental business value.Communication Design1. Develop proficiency in project management and information systems analysis skills. Maintain a high level proficiency in programming languages. Provide technical analysis and solutions; sets technical directions; Act as a SME for the functional area2. Participate, contribute and lead implementation of aspects of Project design , development and governance activities, whether arising locally or from the regional business partners3. Solve technically complex programming projects in assigned area. Translate loosely defined business problems into a set of objectives, criteria and logical specification so a programming solution can be developed. Develop, test and write highly complex application programs, queries and profiles aligned to business goals4. Provide flawless execution by the team through effective project management and incorporating necessary quality checks that has been signed off by senior /manager;5. Demonstrate acceptable standards of productivity.6. Contribute towards the quantifiable process improvement goals of the teamLeadership and Team Work1. Deliver functional trainings and also attend Soft Skills based on PDPProcess Efficiency and Controls1. Manages the automation of repetitive programming steps to reduce the need for manual intervention. Take charge in the maintenance of generated programs, queries and profiles to make certain organizational information resources are leveraged efficiently.2. Sets up QA/QC framework and ensures adherence and constant improvements.3. Understands policies/standards and assists leadership team to translate and implements the same into operational governance framework for the team.
